Project Description
For this Block paving project in Braintree, we were asked to remove some small trees, shrubs and an old block paved driveway to the front of this property. This would make way for the new driveway that we was going to install.
Using our very own mini digger, our paving experts started by excavating the area. Having our own transport means that we can dispose of all the hardcore that is not needed. Once we dug down to the ideal depth, we installed any drainage that was needed for the driveway. This is always installed to prevent the driveway from flooding. We then prepared the base, which was covered in MOT type 1.
We laid a red coloured block longways around the whole area. This created a border. A grey coloured block was laid sideways around this. Then another layer of red bricks was laid in the same way. In the middle of these, we laid grey coloured bricks covering the whole area.
We then laid red coloured bricks only one brick high down one side of the driveway. This driveway project was completed within a couple of days. It transformed the whole property which now benefits from off street parking.
